Why do you need my contact lens prescription?

We are a replacement contact lens centre: we can only supply you with lenses prescribed by your contacts lens practitioner. We must, by law, have verification of your contact lens prescription before we can post your lenses.

Consequently we must ask you to either scan and email or post us your current contact lens prescription, or to fill in your optician's details when ordering so we can contact them to confirm your prescription. Once verified, your prescription will be held on file until it expires (each is valid for 12 months).

A contact lens prescription is more specific than a standard prescription for spectacles: in addition to the particular lens and power you have been prescribed, it also includes your lens fitting. Contact lenses, like trousers, come in different shapes and sizes!
